Just for cat groomers — and only at Zoo Russia!

Grooming industry professionals from all across Russia gathered together for the live hands-on demonstration and master class conducted by Danelle German, CFMG, CFCG, President of the National Cat Groomers Institute of America, Inc. and Director of the National Cat Groomers School to discuss the how’s and why’s of cat grooming.

Danelle German specializes in setting and maintaining cat grooming standards, provides training and education, and awarding certifications when training requirements are met. During the seminar Danelle pointed that here has been a serious lack of proper training and education in the area of professional feline grooming. What is useful for grooming dogs cannot and should not be applied to the handling of cats.

Danelle shared her knowledge and expertise with the audience regarding benefits of adding cat grooming to the list of salon services, how to assess a cat’s temperament and groom it to perfection, producing show-worthy results regardless of the breed.

The lecture included discussion on understanding feline behavior, knowing breeds, colors, and coat types, being aware of common feline health conditions, determining the grooming needs of a specific cat, and building and growing the cat grooming business. The seminar also includes live hands-on cat grooming showing a variety of handling techniques and grooming elements.
